Which one is actually worth paying for
ChatGPT Plus is the safe default if you want one general assistant for writing, coding and analysis. Google Gemini AI Pro makes most sense if you already live in Google Docs, Sheets and Gmail, because that integration is the real product. Perplexity Pro is a research tool first — it cites sources, which matters if you have to check claims. Canva Pro is not a chatbot at all; it is design software, and it is the one on this list most people underuse.
Use the free tiers first. All the major AI assistants have free tiers that are genuinely capable, and they have improved a lot. If you use one for under an hour a week, the free tier is almost certainly enough and you should not buy anything on this page.
